Kornelia Binicewicz is an anthropologist of culture, music and culture researcher, a food lover, a culinary meetings entrepreneur, a vinyl-only DJane, and a record collector.

The “Foodlemology” project is dedicated to exploring the culinary culture from Stanisław Lem’s literature. „Foodlemology” is an Instagram account showcasing food recipes from the literature of Stanisław Lem - the world-famous Polish writer, author of “Solaris”. The project is designed as a visual and culinary journey into the world of literature. It is created by Kornelia Binicewicz (Eat.Music.with.Culture/ Ladies on Records) for The Polish Institute in Tel Aviv.

JEDNODNIOWA RESTAURACJA ŻUBROWA / ONE DAY RESTAURANT
An abandoned building in the middle of the city park in Krakow used to be a glamorous restaurant in the 1930s. Since then, the building was forgotten. I organised an illegal pop-up dinner there, bringing new light to the spot. A secret place came back to life just for one day again - with a long dining table and dozens of people cooking and eating together.

The project was a site-specific installation connecting two culinary realities - Israeli kibbutz dining rooms and Polish milk bars. The kitchens in milk bars and kibbutzim have a lot in common: simple food, egalitarian approach to the customer, cooking on a massive scale, minimalist aesthetic practice, and observing culinary traditions. The project's main goal was to explore similarities between the two realities, introducing recipes from kibbutz to Polish bars menu, and exhibit photos of the kibbutz food, environment, and inhabitants. The milk bar owners kept the recipes in their menu and all the decorations, pictures, and posters long after the festival. The project helped the bar to survive a couple of next years, bringing new customers and well deserved attention to Polish milk bars' culture.

THE CULTURE OF CHALLAH. BRAKING BREAD BETWEEN POLAND AND ISRAEL
Challah bread is not only a pastry made of flour, yeast, and water. It is also a strong cultural message. Challah bread for Jewish people is a holy Sabbath bread. For Polish people, it is a tasty Saturday pastry. Due to a horrific cut in history, Polish people lost almost any knowledge about their Jewish neighbors and their food culture. But challah bread, known in Poland as chałka, gives a chance to understand the neighbors again. I invited a famous Israeli baker - Uri Scheft, to bake bread in Krakow, with a Polish baker who now owns an old Jewish bakery. The project was designed as series of workshops and baking sessions.
